Unity message

The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit at the College of Nursing / University of Baghdad seeks to support the college’s march in preparing academically and professionally qualified nursing staff, by developing scholarship opportunities, scientific and cultural exchange, and building effective relationships with universities and academic institutions regionally and internationally, in order to enhance the efficiency of graduates and their role in serving the Iraqi society.

Unit goals

1. Enhancing scholarship and academic training opportunities for faculty members and students, in line with global developments in nursing and health education.
2. Building and expanding the network of academic and cultural relations with universities and educational institutions inside and outside Iraq.
3. Support the exchange of experiences and scientific visits between the college and its counterparts in nursing colleges in Arab and international universities.
4. Developing the research and teaching capabilities of the staff, through participation in relevant international conferences and programs.
5. Facilitate the access of students and researchers to external educational and cultural opportunities that enhance their academic and professional skills.
6. Representing the college in international academic and cultural events and enhancing its presence in regional and international forums.
7. Contribute to supporting an open and interactive learning environment with international cultures, which enhances students’ awareness of contemporary health issues.

The role and achievements of the unit

The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit is one of the active units at the College of Nursing, playing a pivotal role in promoting academic and cultural cooperation between the college and educational institutions inside and outside Iraq. The unit contributes to the development of teaching staff by following up on the affairs of scholarships and study leaves inside and outside Iraq, as well as coordinating on academic fellowships and grants.
Notable Achievements:
Coordinating scholarships and study leaves: Following up on the affairs of scholarship holders and ensuring the smooth flow of administrative procedures related to their dispatch, while providing the necessary support to finalize their transactions inside and outside the university.
Expanding academic relations: Establishing and developing cooperative relations with Arab and international universities through memorandums of understanding and scientific cooperation agreements aimed at exchanging expertise, research and training.
Academic representation: The unit contributes in representing the college within the central committees for cultural relations at Baghdad University, and seeks to communicate the voice of the college and participate in the formulation of general policies for cultural cooperation.
Courses and Workshops: Organizing training courses and workshops in cooperation with external bodies to develop the skills of teaching staff and students, and promote openness to international cultures and academic systems.
